These terms describe how KriticalMarketing provides its services. Each project or campaign is also governed by a written proposal or agreement setting out the specific scope, price and conditions; if the two conflict, the written agreement takes priority. [To complete: these terms require owner and legal review before launch]
1. Our services
We provide business website design (from £297 one-off), Shopify e-commerce website design (from £647 one-off), optional hosting and maintenance (£27.99 per month), and Facebook and Instagram advertising on a pay-per-lead basis (typically £20–£40 per lead).
2. Scope and deliverables
Before work begins we agree the scope in writing, including pages, features, integrations, content and the number of revision rounds. Work outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide content, images, logins, product information and approvals in a timely manner, and confirm you have the rights to any material you supply. Delays in providing these may affect timelines.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices are as stated in your agreement. All websites require a deposit of 5% of your package price, payable upfront to secure your booking and scheduled meeting. The deposit is refunded in full if you attend the scheduled meeting; it is not refunded if you do not attend. The remaining balance and payment schedule: [To complete: confirm remaining payment terms].
5. Revisions and changes
Revisions are included as agreed in your scope. Additional changes or new requirements may be quoted separately before we proceed.
6. Timelines
Any timeline we give is an estimate that depends on the agreed scope and on you supplying content and approvals when needed. We do not promise completion dates before requirements are confirmed.
7. Launch and handover
On completion we assist with launching your website and explain how it works.
8. Hosting and maintenance
Optional hosting and maintenance is £27.99 per month and is separate from the one-off build fee. The monthly charge begins in the month after the build is completed. What maintenance includes is defined in your agreement; it does not include unlimited changes or support unless expressly stated. Notice period and cancellation: [To complete: confirm cancellation terms].
No website can be guaranteed to be free of security issues or downtime. We take reasonable steps to keep websites we maintain secure and up to date.
9. Third-party platforms and costs
Where you do not already own a domain, we register one and cover the registration cost. Where you already own a domain, you provide the login details we need to connect it to your website. If sharing those details concerns you, we will agree access arrangements that keep you comfortable — for example, we recommend changing your domain account password once setup is complete, so that only you know the current credentials.
Shopify subscriptions, Shopify apps and themes, transaction and payment processing fees and other third-party costs are not included in our fees unless expressly agreed, and are subject to those providers' own terms.
10. Intellectual property
Ownership and usage rights for designs and code on completion and full payment: [To complete: confirm IP transfer terms]. Third-party software, themes and fonts remain subject to their own licences.
11. Advertising campaigns and pay-per-lead
- The price per lead, typically £20–£40, is agreed in writing before a campaign begins.
- A campaign begins with an upfront payment equal to 3 leads at the agreed price, which covers our time and expenses in setting the campaign up. The first 3 leads delivered are free of charge, and billing for leads begins from the fourth lead.
- Advertising spend is separate from the per-lead fee unless otherwise agreed in writing. Who pays the advertising platform, and how, is set out in your agreement.
- The definition of a payable lead, and how duplicates, invalid contact details, out-of-area and other disputed leads are handled, are set out in your agreement.
- Leads are exclusive to you only where exclusivity is expressly agreed.
- Optional lead follow-up and appointment booking are provided only where agreed.
- We do not guarantee any number of leads, appointments or sales.
12. Cancellation and termination
[To complete: confirm cancellation and termination terms for website projects, maintenance and campaigns]

14. Complaints
If you're unhappy with our service, please email contact@kriticalmarketing.co.uk and we'll work with you to resolve it.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [To complete: confirm jurisdiction, e.g. England and Wales].
